System Design Services

We are excited to continue our tradition of designing systems for various off grid applications.  This includes everything from small 12VDC camping systems (like the one below) all the way through to large 48VDC  systems with battery storage,  16kW of solar and backup generator.

All designs meet or exceed the applicable sections of  AS/NZS 3001 Electrical installations—Transportable structures and vehicles including their site supplies and AS/NZS 4509 - Stand Alone Power Systems - System Designs

Our Design Service is fully customisable.  

Design Option 1:

As a starting point, you may only want to know what specification of system you need for your requirements.  We will provide a design report that will describe a suitable system and suggest products that would be suitable for your needs so you can get an idea of budget requirements.  The design report below is the system in my Camper Trailer and included the following data:

• Load Calculations - this report includes a comparison between a system with and without an inverter.

• Battery Sizing is calculated to meet your requirements.

• Solar Sizing is calculated based on a location of the customer's choosing.

• Graphs comparing solar generation and load are provided.

• Predicted Solar Performance utilising actual BOM insolation (solar) data.

This Design Option is available for only $220 inc GST

Design Option 2:   Full Circuit Design with Unpriced Bill of Materials

This design option will provide the report above plus a full schematic / wiring diagram and Bill of Materials.  We will work with you remotely to support your installation activities and any problems you may encounter.  You will need to be pretty handy to complete a full installation by yourself and have a basic understanding of electrical installations.  Some elements of the design may require a qualified Electrician to install.

This Design Option is available for only $299 inc GST

Design Option 3:   Full Circuit Design with Fully Priced Bill of Materials

This design option is the same as Design Option 2 but includes a fully priced Bill of Materials

This Design Option is available for only $385 inc GST

If you choose to progress with a build, each of these will be discounted $100, to be used toward labour and materials.

The Design Report below is an example of the Basic Design service we provide.  It will be customised for your powered camping equipment, where you like to camp, when you like to camp and for how long.
