OUR VISION
The dream that has become coulomb IQ started many years ago in Perth, Australia. Initially, it started as a blog under Camping Technologies Australia discussing the in's and out's of small scale camping power supplies but also other technologies that make camping off grid so much more enjoyable. Soon, power system design services were offered allowing clients to compare and contrast different technologies and products and most importantly, make an informed choice.
We weren't content with just that. The dream (and therefore our vision) was to make great technology available to the not so technical. High performance products that were modular, expandable and a cinch to install while being intuitive to operate. The first product we designed is our Battery Monitor. This versatile product forms the heart of our product range and the foundation of a great system weather that be for your Ute Canopy, Camper Trailer, Caravan, Motor home or 5th Wheeler.
Coming soon is an add-on Maximum Power Point Tracking Battery Charger (MPPT) that will be provided as pluggable 40A Modules. Up to 5 modules (200A) will be permissible per mounting frame.
Lithium Batteries (LiFePO4) have been a game changer to this market segment permitting far more ubiquity between devices being powered. Devices requiring 2kW, 3kW and even 4kW inverters in caravans are becoming more prevalent whilst still having a healthy mix of 12VDC and/or 24VDC devices as well. This coupled with superior performance and lower weight has seen the uptake of LiFePO4 batteries in this application sky rocket.
Our Battery Monitors have been purposely designed for Lithium Batteries and like our company name suggests, perform full coulomb counting as the means to accurately determine the remaining battery charge.
